So I know this is a little late…but I feel like I should discuss my tops picks of 2013…I read over 100 books in 2013, but I don't blog about every single one. Honestly, I just don't have time with everything else on my plate. (sounds so cliche and drastic, but true…and granted my life is not nearly as busy as other bloggers, but hey I like my free time, can you blame me?!)
I also realize that I don't really do any personal blogging. Honestly, I think my personal life is too boring to write to people about. But hey, if people were interested, I would definitely do it. (I have plenty to talk about, kind of. Guess it just depends on what you like to read about !)
Anyway, back to my top picks. In the year 2013 I read 119 books! Holy crap thats a lot. If you follow my blog, or even check in every once in a while, I tend to read young adult dystopian and new adult romance with some paranormal romance/dystopian thrown in there. For purposes of this post, Im not going to include books that are being released in 2014 that I read during 2013, thanks to net galley. I also want to note, that not all of these books came out in 2013, some of them came out before then, but I didn't read them until recently. I TRY to wait to read a series until the whole series is out, sometimes I get over anxious and give in (especially if I find a great deal) but I do try to avoid reading books when the others in a series are not available. If its a net galley review or a beta review then Ill read it before the series is finished. I guess I should also note that these are not in any particular order.

Going Under S Walden--Wow. Going Under was an interesting story about a young girl who, after making some poor decisions, ended up transferring schools for her senior year to start over but ends up discovering a secret "slut league" and when she tries to help the girls, she finds herself facing even more trouble. This is a deeply moving, but painful story. This book addressees some very intense story lines and is not for the weak. It is an amazing story though of a brave girl who is willing to do anything for the truth. Even if it means sacrificing herself. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17337522-going-under?ac=1
Unbroken- Melody Grace-- This was really interesting angst new adult romance novel. A story about a girl torn between what she believes she is supposed to and what her heart asks her to do regarding her once upon a time love. In this world, there are factions everyone lives in, its their role in society, there are five factions and everyone must chose which one to devote themselves to, each faction represents a particular virtue. This action adventure and romance novel takes the reader on a journey through this world where the factions aren't what they seem to be, and disarray and conflict continue to rise. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13335037-divergent?from_search=true
Captive in the Dark CJ Roberts--This is a dark erotica novel (not my usual type as you see, but it got rave reviews so I checked it out!) it is intense and not for the weak. It has explicitly graphic scenes that are quite disturbing at times. Olivia is taken hostage by Caleb, while in captivity Caleb works to break her so he can sell her as a sex slave, but somewhere along the way the two begin to fall for one another, against all reason…with some gruesome turns, this is one hell of a book. Never would I think I'd like this, and it was at times difficult to read it was also very well written and I felt emotionally attached to Olivia by the end of the book(s). Amazing. (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12513614-captive-in-the-dark?ac=1)
